Woodwick and Holder

Woodwick is an attractive and unusual wick to use in candles. It is slow burning and gives a wide flat flame like a hurricane lamp.

Woodwick is suitable for candles up to around 100mm diameter. It comes in a 135mm length that can easily be cut to size with sharp scissors or a craft knife.

Each wick comes with a holder that makes it easy to stand the wick up while pouring the candle wax.

Wick Holders
Used with stiff wicks (see below) for the easy way to make votive candles and other candles not made in a conventional threaded-wick candle mold. The wick simply stands in place while you pour in the wax.

Stiff Wick per Metre
Stiff, slow burning wicks. Ideal for votive candles and candles not made using a candle mold. Best used with wick holders (see above). Zinc core wick is the slower burning and paper core wick is better for use with fragrant oils. Both are medium wicks best suited to candles with a diameter of approximately 5 - 10cm.

Candle Colours

These oil based colours are suitable for use in candlemaking. 2- 5 drops of colour per 100g/100ml of wax will give a pastel colour with more drops giving a more intense colour. These primary colours can be mixed to achieve all the colours of the rainbow.
